Featuring Bernadette Lecza, Yale University
We welcome our expert moderator Bernadette Lecza, Research Associate with the Mood Disorders Research Program at Yale University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry. We will be discussing sleep habits and how it effects our mood.
The Yale Mood Disorders Research Program (MDRP), directed by Dr. Hilary Blumberg, is dedicated to understanding the causes of mood and related disorders, and suicide risk, over the lifespan. The MDRP brings together a multi-disciplinary group of scientists from across the Yale campus in a highly collaborative research effort to generate new and improved methods for early detection and treatment to reduce the suffering of mood disorders and suicide. The MDRP and Kids Are TalkingTM are partnering together to find creative ways to open up the conversation and reduce the stigma of mental illness. The MDRP is currently conducting free 12 week therapy studies for individuals ages 13-29 years experiencing mood symptoms and have a parent with bipolar disorder (BD) or may have depression or BD, who are compensated up to $540 for participating. There are also studies for individuals ages 40 and up with BD.
